Smudge Sticks & Spring Candles  |  Workshop Details

This is a DIY project workshop for beginners with no experience necessary! Each guest will be given all supplies and step-by-step instructions to create 2 spring/summer candles and 3 fresh smudge sticks.

100% Natural Soy Wax Candles: Create (2) large, 8oz candles with 100% all natural soy wax with clean fragrances free from carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other hazardous chemicals found in most household candles. These will give you an average burn time of 40-50 hours each.

White Sage Smudge Sticks:  Create (3) smudge sticks bundled using our 100% cotton twine. The ingredients included are palo santo sticks, dried cinnamon sticks, dried citrus, and dried white sage.

Smudge sticks are bundles of herbs which can be burned to prevent illness, ward off negative energy, cleanse a space, calm the soul, or reset personal intentions. The tradition dates back thousands of years in Native American cultures, and when you smudge, you are participating in an ancient and very sacred ritual.

We highly recommend reading more about it online if you plan to use these smudge sticks as more than just a decorative aroma/potpourri. We also would like to note that we highly respect this ancient ritual and do not plan to mis-guide anyone in their practices. While we know how to create smudge sticks, we are not experts in the ritual and do not claim to be. After the workshop, we will provide you with an instructional sheet of some recommended tips and practices.

This class is at our studio and is BYOB, so feel free to bring any of your own food, beverages, wine, snacks, cheese, or you may even order a pizza! Please arrive a few minutes early to find parking, and please be aware and respectful of our cancellation policy.
